The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) announces for the Program of “Integrated Leading Researches of Africa Agenda 2030” which offers grants of up to £90,000 for 2 years.
     The Program focuses on global environmental change, disaster risk reduction, sustainable energy, human health and well-being in urban environments as well as future earth. The Program aims to promote scientific exchange and provide opportunities for young researchers in Africa. Outstanding early career scientists will also have opportunities for career development through participation in international scientific committees and conferences, working groups, and inter-governmental policy processes.       Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President and Prof. Dr. Gamal Ismail, the University Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs; the University has participated in the Week of (You're Beautiful, My Country) Initiative for cleanliness and beauty with coordination of the Executive Bodies in Qalyoubia and Dar Akhbar Elyom 

      Despite of its establishment in 2014; the Agricultural Research Center in the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshtohor, Benha University has witnessed a significant shift in its way to achieve its desired objectives depending on experiences of its professors and researches. The Center has become a destination for many countries like China, India and Spain as well as many Arab and African countries. 

      Dr. Mosbeh El Kohiely, the General Manager of the Youth Welfare Department in Benha University said that the Scientific and Technological Activity participated in the 8th Scientific Forum of the Egyptian Universities which organized by Helwan University. Hel also referred Benha University got the 1st place between 16 participated universities.

Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the University Vice-president for Education and Students’ Affairs has opened the University 14th scouting festival with participation of 12 faculties from the University at the faculty of physical education. It is worth mentioning that the festival is going to still until the next Wednesday, 24/02/2016.

      In the frame of contribution in developing the higher education, Benha University hosts Dr. John Cavanaugh, the President and CEO of the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area to discuss the challenges facing higher education institutes on Wednesday, 24/02/2016 at the University Celebrations Hall.

      On Sunday, 14/02/2016 a workshop has been held to evaluate the performance of Benha University E-portal on Cloud Computing Environment at the University Council Hall with cooperation of Microsoft and Link companies. It is worth mentioning that Benha University is the first public university hosts the Cloud Computing Environment on its E-portal.

       Prof. Dr. Saad Mahmoud Saad, the Director of Benha University Quality Assurance Center said that the Projects Management Unit in the Ministry of Higher Education has approved to finance the projects presented by the faculties of Education, Specific Education, and Physical Education to support and develop the educational effectiveness as a phase to qualify such faculties to get the accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education “NAQAAE”.

      In the frame of the State institutions caring to develop the Higher Education in Egypt, a salon has been held in Al-Ahram Foundation about “the Future of Higher Education Development in Egypt” in the presence of Mr. Alaa Thabet, the Chief Editor of Al Ahram Massai; Dr. Ashraf Hatem, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities; Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University; Dr. Roshdy Zahran, the President of Alexandria University; and Dr. Yasser Sakr, the President of Helwan University.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University; Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs; a delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Iraqy, the Faculty Dean has been participated in the 3rd International Conference of Tempus Programme held in the duration from 12/01/2016 to 15/01/2016 in Hurghada
