Faculty of Law – Benha University

The Faculty of Law at Benha University was established in 1991 as a branch of Zagazig University. It became an independent faculty in 1994 by Presidential Decree No. 287. Since then, it has grown into a leading institution dedicated to legal education, research, and community service.

The faculty offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including:

  • The Arabic section (General Law program)
  • The English section (Law studies in English)
  • Postgraduate diplomas, Master’s degrees, and PhDs in various legal fields.

The faculty comprises several academic departments, such as:

  • Criminal Law
  • Civil Law
  • Commercial Law
  • Public Law
  • Private International Law
  • Islamic Sharia
  • History and Philosophy of Law
  • International Public Law
  • Economics and Public Finance

With more than 11,000 enrolled students, the Faculty of Law is committed to preparing highly qualified legal professionals who can compete in both national and international job markets. It also aims to promote legal awareness, justice, and the rule of law in society.

The faculty maintains close links with legal institutions, the judiciary, and the community through training courses, conferences, and legal aid services.
