In the frame of Benha University openness to the world, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Iraqy, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture traveled on Tuesday, 01/09/2015 to Ohio University - USA in a10-day scientific visit to find out the latest scientific achievements in the field of agricultural sciences and to sign cooperation protocol between the University and Ohio University in the field of scientific research and student exchange.

The Egyptian Information Telecommunications, Electronics & Software Alliance (Eitesal) calls for a meeting with the member companies to study the cooperation between the industry and the professors of the universities and the scientific research to provide new products and develop research ideas that may be transformed to innovated products by industry. Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs said that in the frame of establishing the unit of scientific research support and intellectual property rights to support the researchers, the University has participated in the 1st Scientific Conference “Scientific Thefts in the Academic Circles Phenomenon and Treatment” organized by Beni Suef University in the duration from 17/11 to 18/11/2015.

Benha University delegation participated in the International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education for the Middle East (Taleem2015) which includes Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Hosny Mahran, the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; and Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the Director of the University E-portal have visited the Hashemite University to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two universities as a beginning for the mutual cooperation.

Benha University delegation participated in the International Exhibition and Conference for Higher Education for the Middle East (Taleem2015) which includes Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Hosny Mahran, the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; and Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the Director of the University E-portal have visited the Association of Arab Universities Headquarters in Jordan.

Prof. Dr. Hesham Abu El Enin, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches’ Affairs has met with the Organizing Committee to follow the final touches of the 1st Scientific Conference “The Role of University Libraries in the Third Millennium” whcich will be held in the duration from 24/11 to 25/11/2015, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the University President at the great hall of celebrations in the faculty of commerce.

In the frame of maintaining and securing the websites of the University faculties, we draw attention to all faculty members, students, and visitors of the websites of the faculties of (specific education – physical education – commerce) that the link of the faculty of specific education changed to http://fsed.bu.edu.eg; the new link of the faculty of physical education http://fphe.bu.edu.eg and the new link of the faculty of commerce http://comm.bu.edu.eg.

Dear Faculty members, Webometrics is going to enter the indicator of the citations on Google Scholar for the best 10 scientists of the University as following: «The recent developments by Google Scholar Citations involving new institutional profiles provide us a reliable source of research impact information. The idea will be to count the combined number of citations of the top 10 scientists in the available university GSC profiles. We are still researching about the weighting of this indicator that should be detracted from 50% that we now assigned to the visibility».

Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University and Dr. Wang Fang, the Vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have signed a cooperation memorandum to enhance the relations between the two sides in the field of agricultural science and technology.
