El Gizawy appoints Mahmoud Maghraby Iraqi as Acting Dean at Faculty of Agriculture
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University has appointed Dr.Mahmoud Maghraby Iraqi, the professor at department of Animal Production as acting dean at Faculty of Agriculture. Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy and all the staff at Faculty of Agriculture hope for him best wishes and great success at his new position.
Benha University discusses its participation at the Presidential Initiative "A Decent Life for Developing Villages"
The Community Services and Environment Affairs Board was held under presidency of Dr. Gamal Sousse, the General Supervisor on Community Service Sector, in presence of the board's members and the faculties' deputies. During the meeting, the Board discussed the mechanism of Benha University's participation in the presidential initiative "A Decent Life for developing villages" which includes Shebin El Qanater village. Benha University is going to participate at the initiative by coordinating with the coordinator of the initiative in Qalyoubia Governorate and the governorate general secretary. Dr.Gamal Soussa said that the national project for developing most of Egyptian rural villages is one of the most important initiatives that launched by the political leadership which aimed at improving standard of living at Egyptian villages.
Dr. Amr Hanfy, Faculty of Engineering deputy for Community Service and Environment Affairs has confirmed that Benha University is going to support the rural villages with various services, developing of infrastructure projects and improving the standard of living at the Egyptian villages
Benha University Hostels start receiving Students on Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University inspected the University hostel at Kafr Saad to look at the final preparations to receive expatriate students during exams. During his tour, Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy inspected restaurants, food stores and accommodation rooms to ensure the standard of cleanliness and to equip the rooms with all the necessary needs to receive students. He also inspected the readiness of the medical clinics, availability of medicines and medical supplies. In his word during the visiting, El Gizawy assured on the importance of applying preventive and precautionary measures in University hostels by following up the continuous sterilization and providing comfort to students inside University hostels as a final preparations for receiving students on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
During his tour at the Hostel, El Gizawy was accompanied by Dr. Gamal Sousse, the General Supervisor on Community Service Sector and the University hostels, Dr. Sayed Abdel-Wanees, the Supervisor of the University hostels and Dr. Awad Allah Soliman, the Director General of the University Hostels.
Benha University raises the state of Readiness for Exams at all Sectors
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University underscored the important role of Crisis and Disasters Management Unit during the last crisis of Corona Virus and he praised its great role in preserving our health and safety.
The meeting was held in presence of Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students` Affairs, Dr. Gamal Soussa, the general supervisor on Community Service and Environment Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Rageh, the manager of Crisis and Disasters Management Unit, Dr. Khalid Esawy, the general coordinator of Students' Affairs and Abd El Qader Abd El Karim, the general coordinator of Quality Unit.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Nasser El Gizawy assured on implementing all precautionary measures at all faculties and sectors. In addition to preparing exams halls, controls rooms, maintaining sterilization gates , following -up of sterilization at all faculties , raising the state of readiness within the University hospitals and the University's medical administration in the light of the University precautionary measures to limit the spread of Corona Virus.
Benha University starts Coronavirus Vaccination for Its Medical Staff
Benha University Hospitals have started Corona virus vaccination for its medical staff after receiving the first batch of the vaccine, in the light of the State's directives and it's care of all medical teams in hospitals.
This event was under auspices of Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University and Dr. Mustafa El Qady, The Faculty of Medicine dean and the Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors. On the other hand, Dr. Amr El Dakhakhny, the executive manager of Hospitals said that the first batch of vaccination was sent and all the medical staff and workers at the hospitals will be vaccinated the coming days.

Prof.Tamer Samir: Finishing all Preparations for the First Semester Exams
Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students` Affairs has inspected the final preparations of the 1st Semester exams which will start on its deadline after finishing mid-year holiday. During his tour, Prof.Tamer Samir has inspected the preparations of exams halls, controls rooms, maintaining sterilization gates and following -up of sterilization in the light of the University precautionary measures to limit the spread of Corona Virus.
Prof.Tamer Samir added that exams schedules of all stages have been finished and published on the University E-portal and the official pages of the University and its faculties. He also mentioned that Benha University is ready to receive 100,000 students of Bachelor and post graduate stages as a result students at high density faculties have been divided into 3 stages to reduce number of students at exams committees and thus , limiting the spread of Corona Virus.
Benha University issues Booklet about E-Portal Activities
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University announced that Benha University has issued a booklet in Arabic about E-portal activities and services and this is a part of a series of booklets that aim to documenting the University's activities and marketing its electronic services. El Gizawy added that E-portal of Benha University participated at providing many technological services for students and the teaching staff in an easy way. In addition, it is always developed in terms of design and content to keep up with the latest electronic portals.
Dr. Islam Sharawy , the Chief Information Officer (CIO) mentioned that Benha University E- Portal is the mirror that reflects the reality of Benha University to the world, the window through which it provides its electronic services, and the basic criterion for evaluation within the most important global rankings, so the University has given it a great attention and importance , supported it with useful content and applications service, enhanced it with a smartphone application, , secured its domains with an SSL certificate, and made it available for people with special needs.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Shady El Mashad, the Vice of Chief Information Officer said that Benha University E- portal is always seeking to develop its electronic services and keep up with the State's aspirations for digital transformation. Not only providing smart academic and administrative systems and services but also building an integrated database in cooperation with the University's information technology projects, in addition to consolidating foundations of using information technology and participating in reducing the digital divide in the University to reach an advanced position among universities.

El Gizawy inspects the various Departments of the University Administration
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University inspected the various departments of the University Administration to see how it's going and he was accompanied by Dr.Abd El Qader Abd El Karim, the general coordinator of administrative quality and Ayman Bayoumy, the acting of the University Secretary. During his tour, El Gizawy stressed the importance of the presence of all personnel in the various departments from the next week.
He also stressed the importance of taking all precautionary measures through social spacing. In addition to making the best use of available resources which serve the public interest and save the public money as well.
